PREBLAST SURVEYS:

• Preblast home surveys will be offered to all property owners whose structures lie within 1,500’ of any blasting operations.

GENERAL SCHEDULE: 

•  Monday Thru Friday, Sunup to Sundown (Saturdays as the  construction schedule dictates) No blasting is planned on Sunday.

 

ON SITE BLAST AREA ALERT AND WARNING SYSTEM: 

• Warning Signal- A one minute series of long horn blasts 5 minutes prior to detonation.

• Blast Signal- A series of short horn blasts 1 minute prior to detonation.

• All Clear Signal- A prolonged horn blast following the inspection of the blast Area.

 

BLAST MONITORING PLAN

• Blast monitoring will be performed using currently calibrated portable seismographs capable of measuring ground measuring in 3 components as well as air blast. Saul’s Seismic, LLC will be installing and monitoring the seismographs.

Strict, blasting specific safety procedures WILL be followed during operations. Some of the items addressed in the safety plan include:
